Canon HV20

Probably one of the best HDV consumer camcorders to be had at the moment and very competively priced at 799€. Unfortunately it records to mini tapes, which though cheap & fairly reliable, I'd really rather not start with, as it's a medium of the past at the end of its lifecycle.


The only UW housing I know of is Ikelite's #6071. At nearly 1000€, not really cheap for a polycarbonate housing, even though rated to -60m. Nor what I'd call a travel light solution at around 4kg including camcorder, but without any of the inevitable accessories.
