Deco cave dive in Cristal

Photo dive with Hannes leading the way in and doing the two planned jumps - twice to the left. The tunnel after the two jumps is quite nice and not as dark as the main tunnel. Most of the time we were diving right below the halocline. Pretty cool.


Average depth being 20m, with an actual bottom time of 80' (excl. deco), that means there's a relatively long deco stop of about 23' at 3m. Luckily the entrance pool is a really nice place to hang around and watch the many little fish dart about, constantly looking for some tasty morsel.


Cenote Cristal (entrance: 100 Pesos) is part of Systema Naharon, just like cenote Escondido.
