I teamed up with Hannes, another PADI instructor and cave diver who'se here on holidays too, and Marco, a freelance cave guide, to go to cenote Escondido (a.k.a. Mayan blue, entrance: 100 Pesos), part of Systema Naharon. They want to do some video shooting and I follow them until they jump off the main line and I continue solo.
It's a relatively deep dive (20m) for the area, and results in some minor decompression penalty, which in my case disappears again on the slow way out. The halocline's at around 17-18m here. It only takes about 20' to do tunnel B's main line, but all together I'm submersed 70', spending some time too with the fish in the open water pool. I'm very ready now to try out my camera, so hopefully I'll be able to upload some snapshots soon...
